What is Microblading?

Microblading is a new and wildly popular

eyebrow procedure. Microblading is done

using a very fine blade to deposit pigments

into the epidermis creating natural

looking hair like strokes.

How long is the procedure?

The whole process takes about three hours. The first hour is to measure, stencil, and thread the brows to get the perfect shape.  During this time, the best customized shape and pigment for every client is chosen. The last two hours are for microblading. The 30 Day Perfecting Session can take up to an hour.

Do I need to get a touch up?

Touch Ups are between 6 months to two years and can very from person to person.

What makes pigment fade?

Oily skin, sweating, being out doors in the sun and facial laser treatments.

Does it hurt?

Pain is tolerable and comparable to tweezing your eyebrows. Clients mention the pain, on a scale of 1-10, is 2 to 4

Do we use numbing solution?

The first pass of microblading is always done without numbing solution. We recommend not using numbing solution throughout the entire process to aide in the pigment absorption giving longer lasting results.  However, we can accommodate different tolerance levels upon request.

WHAT IS EYELASH EXTENSIONS?

Classic Lash VS Volume Lash? What's the difference?

With classic lashes one single lash is applied to each natural lash. This limits the fullness to what you have naturally. With volume, we artfully design delicate fans of lashes to apply to each natural lash. The light and fluffy fans give the illusion of hundreds more lashes than what you have naturally! Of course, we can adjust the drama to be anything from soft and natural to quite dramatic, so let's choose the set that's right for you!

What are the lashes made of?

At Lash with Rachel, we use faux mink and silk for volume. Both look realistic. Real mink will be available upon advanced request and will have an  additional charge.

How long do they last?

Classic lash extensions can last up to 6-8 weeks without a fill. If you plan to keep them on, fills are between 2 and 3 weeks. Volume lashes tend to last longer, and can last up to 8+ weeks with out a fill. If you plan to keep them on, fills are between 2-4 weeks.

Why shouldn't I get "flares/clusters" for $25-30 instead?

With flares or clusters comes a low price and usually takes around 20 minutes. The reason why the price is so low and takes so quickly- you are getting your lashes SUPER GLUED TOGETHER. There is no isolation (separation of lashes). If you look at the top view of these, they will look piled on and full of glue. After a tough removal of the clusters, I would normally have to fix the bald and damaged natural lashes with a volume set to fill in the gaps. When you wear Lash with Rachel lashes, we isolate your natural lashes and protect your lash growth cycle. There are no lashes glued together, lashes are free to shed and grow back exactly how they would without the extensions. This is why we are able to grow fuller natural lashes with wearing the extensions.
